SAFe-Certified. Anti-Cookie-Cutter.
Frameworks get sold.
Fit gets built.
Only one of them survives contact with your team.
Independent consulting for regulated industries. For teams tired of consultants who install the same framework everywhere and call it strategy. Establishing SAFe and LeSS across companies taught me the framework is only half the path. The truth is in the tailored adaptation.
Clarity · Collaboration · Outcome
Book a Strategy Call →SAFe is not the villain. The blind copy-paste rollout of frameworks is. I initiated SAFe and LeSS-based agile transformations across organizations with the help of external consultants. The collaboration quickly showed who understood our goal and who wanted to sell an off-the-shelf blueprint.
Most good consultants already know this. Tailoring is not some secret insight. The failure is not a lack of frameworks. Organizations, and some consultants, treat SAFe, Scrum, or any methodology as a checklist instead of a starting point. I don't sell a framework. I sell the tailoring most rollouts skip.
Most engagements start with an in-depth status-quo analysis. The goal is to understand the current culture, the current bottlenecks, the current objectives. This lets me fix what's critical. No wrecking ball to what's already working.
That's the fastest way to earn trust and see where the real problems live. But process work is the door opener. The engagements I care about most, and stay in longest, are leadership development and organizational design that make the fix permanent.
"The goal is efficiency and high quality. So I always ask: does this improve either? If the answer is no, I drop it."
ASPICE, ISO 26262, and mechanical-engineering-first cultures don't bend for a generic SAFe rollout. I scaled teams from 9 to 45 engineers. I coordinated up to 100 offshore engineers. I achieved ASPICE Level 3. And all with 98% retention. Every number came from fitting the practice to the organization, not the other way around.
Generic leadership certifications produce compliance, not judgment. I built my own 3D Leadership framework instead: Depth, Direction, Drive. Real leadership development means people who lead with purpose and develop a culture. They run the organization based on transparent principles without escalating every decision back to you.
Every company is different. Every company has its own culture. Blueprint frameworks iron that out. Bespoke frameworks, built on proven systems like LeSS and SAFe, embrace and maintain it. Delivered in more than five companies. A true agile transformation adapts the development process too, not just the management process. Otherwise, the two fight each other instead of working hand in hand. That only works when both come from one hand. Bespoke frameworks drive the engagement.
Conway's Law is not a theory. It's a diagnosis. Your software architecture already mirrors your org chart, whether anyone designed it that way or not. I restructure teams around the product. Structure and system finally point the same direction.
Off-the-shelf SAFe scales bureaucracy. Tailored SAFe can actually work.
